Roxanne found it very difficult to get her head around what had just happened, feeling that her whole world had been turned upside down, though her companions seemed very matter of fact about their erotic encounter. Lauren simply returned to her seat and obediently fastened her safety belt when Faith illuminated the warning sign, though she did offer Roxanne a reassuring smile. Even Jo seemed unconcerned that her pleasure had been interrupted, simply putting her knickers on and zipping up her jeans before she too strapped herself in.

As Roxanne felt the first shudders of turbulence they seemed to mirror her own emotions, her body a mess of confusing, unpredictable and unusual feelings. It took a few moments reflection for her to realize that she was in shock, her mind and body unable to cope with the emotional and physical load that had been placed on them, for now at least. Just as she began to decide that there was no way to resolve her inner turmoil Lauren proved her wrong, simply by reaching across the short distance between them and holding her hand. All at once, Roxanne somehow knew that everything was going to be alright.

The last forty minutes of the flight were a little bumpy, but as the plane lost altitude the air seemed to clear and by the time they began to approach the tiny runway on Lauren’s island retreat sunlight was streaming through the cabin’s windows. Looking down at the island paradise below only added to Roxanne’s feeling that she was entering a new world, the soft hand that held hers a reminder that the land below was not the only undiscovered territory to be explored.

There was no formality about their arrival – once the plane had stopped moving and the engines had shut down Jo simply unlocked the cabin door, which formed a short staircase as the bottom half folded out and down. She stepped down and for a moment Roxanne and Lauren were alone.

‘Welcome to my island, I really hope that you’ll be happy here.’ Roxanne was too nervous to reply, but she allowed herself to be led by the hand to the cabin’s doorway. The thought that she had been offered a new life in a new world was a little overwhelming, but when she stepped out of the small plane and onto the tarmac her decision suddenly seemed a lot easier.

The island was too beautiful, so much more than she could ever have imagined, the vista almost literally breathtaking. The landing strip was a thin ribbon of tarmac in an ocean of green, the short grass that surrounded the strip itself enclosed by a sea of lush tropical vegetation. Though Roxanne couldn’t see the sea, the warm breeze that caressed her carried a promise of the ocean and she somehow knew that she was only beginning to discover the island’s delights.

Suddenly two beautiful dark haired women emerged from the vegetation, betraying the existence of the narrow path that they had travelled on. A moment later they had embraced Lauren and Jo, leaving Roxanne feeling a little like a spare part.
